This recipe has quickly become one of my favorites. These brownies do not last longer than a day or two in my house. Daniel is not routinely a fan of brownies, but he loves this recipe! These are really easy to make and so delicious.
If you are like me and prefer your brownies fudge-like rather than cake-like (and also chocolatey), then add the last 2 ingredients listed: oil and cocoa powder. If you prefer cake-like brownies and less chocolate, just leave those out!
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 oz (½ cup) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ cups almond flour
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- (optional) 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- (optional) 1 tbs dark cocoa powder
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°. In a small saucepan on low heat, melt the butter then add chocolate, sugars, and vanilla. I use Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips for my recipe. They are my favorite! Also add the cocoa powder to this mixture if you are using it. Set aside for a moment to cool.
In a mixing bowl, add the eggs and oil if you are using it. Then pour in the chocolate mixture from the saucepan. Use a mixer to combine well. Now add the almond flour and combine again. Lastly, add the chocolate chips and the chopped almonds and stir.
Grease a 9×9 baking pan lightly with butter. Pour in the brownie batter. Cook for 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
